Adult Classes

HD Fit

Hosanna Dance is pleased to continue our popular series of HD Fit dance for fitness classes. These classes are offered in eight-week sessions with weekly classes. Our Summer session will only be 7 weeks. Styles include: Fluid Stretch, Mindful Movement, Adult Ballet, Mat Pilates and Floor Barre. Classes are available in the morning or evening. This program is open for both men and women.
At Hosanna Dance, you will find uplifting music choices, professional instruction, and an encouraging environment where you can learn at your own pace.

No dance experience necessary!
HD Fit Session Dates
Session I September 2– October 25, 2025
Session II October 26, 2025 – January 3, 2026 (Includes two weeks off for Christmas break)
Session III January 4 - February 28, 2026 

Session IV March 1 - May 2, 2026 (One week off for Spring Break)
*Tiese will announce free classes between Session IV and the beginning of the Summer Session

*Summer Session June 22 - August 7, 2026 *Summer is a seven-week session

HD Fit Prices
Tuition is based on the number of classes you register for. 
First class - $80.00 for the seven week session *Adult Ballet $90.00 including the add'tl surcharge
Second through seventh class - $15.00 per session  
*You must pay for entire session at time of registration.
*NO REGISTRATION FEE!
*Not included in the tuition caps, however, dancers on either the VED or VEF tuition cap can take these classes for half price.

Class Descriptions
Mindful Movement
Join us on the mat for a movement series geared toward beginners, with an emphasis on injury prevention, breath work, and prayer. The movement will be simple, but even experienced dancers will be able to benefit. All dancers level 2+ are welcome, as well as parents and other adults.
Attire: Tight fitting athletic wear that is easy to move it. Socks or barefoot is acceptable.

Fluid Stretch
Every Fluid Stretch class begins with a 30 min exercise routine based on a specific dance style (ex. Ballet, Jazz, Modern, etc.). Each routine is designed to work on mobility, strength, and balance. The classes end with 30 min of stretching using specific techniques intended to help bypass the normal barriers that limit flexibility. All classes are set to beautiful and unique worship music.
Attire: Tight fitting athletic wear that is easy to move it. Socks or barefoot is acceptable.

Adult Ballet
Our adult ballet class is designed for individuals seeking to learn or improve their skills in this classical form.  We will focus on building strength, flexibility, and body awareness through barre and center floor work, with an emphasis on proper posture and alignment. This class is structured to accommodate students with various levels of experience from no prior experience to those with more experience. It is considered an intermediate level class so dancers must have some movement vocabulary. Age 16+. This class has a $10 surcharge due to the length of the class.
Attire: Leotard with tights or leggings and ballet slippers.

Mat Pilates
This class will focus on strengthening your core muscles wile challenging arms and leg strength. Standing, sitting and laying down postures will be incorporated. In addition to strengthening the whole body, there will be a stretching component as well. All dancers level 2+ are welcome, as well as parents and other adults.
Attire: Tight fitting athletic wear that is easy to move it. Socks or barefoot is acceptable.

Floor Barre
Floor barre is a technique designed to develop dancers' turnout, strength, and flexibility. By working on the floor dancers can fully concentrate on correct placement and muscle activation. It is a wonderful too to improve alignment and coordination, and reduce injuries. This class will be taught following the method developed by Boris Kniaseff. Floor barre makes a great addition to any dancer's training. Students may want to bring a yoga mat to pad their hips and spine. All dancers level 2+, age 12+, are welcome, as well as other adults.
Attire: Leotard with tights and ballet slippers or full length leggings and thin socks.
